Top Gear: BBC {TeleVision}

I'm sixteen right now, but I don't have my license, or my learners, but that doesn't stop me from liking cars. Top Gear is a British TV show by middle-aged men who like driving hugely expensive sports cars, for middle-aged men who would like to drive hugely expensive sports cars.

It's really popular with those men who drive BMWs and Mercs. Those guys who don't actually have sports cars, but if they had the money for new tires, they would certainly be out drifting in whatever they have. These men wear kakai slacks and loafers, their silk ties swinging out of their unzipped wind breakers, and one dollar bills drift to the ground in the wake of their purposeful stride as they step up to their gleaming black BMW M series. Ridiculous imagery aside, I'd love to be him, everything from the one dollar bills to the last "s" in series. And Top Gear is a bit of that.

Now seriously, here's the review.

The Talk: Nearly every episode has a bit of talk in it. There are needless challenges, monologues about the prime minister: his various road laws or construction projects on the A1, car specs, new car news, and guest stars: Britain's minor celebs who come on, drive an average car and try to compete with the previous guests. Although I wouldn't say that all of them are minor, some are Tom Cruise.

The Walk: This is a horrible understatement, on Top Gear, they don't walk any where. Driving is the way to go, and -horrible puns excused- go they do! A Ferrari is the highlight of any show, seeing two actually race each other is really great programing. But as you may have expected that's not all, no, Aston Martin DB9, Lamborghini Gallardo, Porsche 911, and cars I'd never heard of before watching Top Gear, like: The Bugatti Veyron, my all time favorite car, and the Maserati Quattroporte, both total beasts of the tarmac.

The Stig: The Top Gear professional faceless racing man: is awesome.

In Summation: As a show, Top Gear, like any other has it's flaws, some it clearly knows about and others slightly deeper. As entertainment, however, Top Gear is an excellent vehicle.

Thank you for reading, for liking what I like, and for allowing my tasteless puns, though you will never stop them anyway.
